I was born in Boston and grew up in New Hampshire, where my passion for gymnastics began at a young age. I was placed into a competitive gymnastics program and quickly excelled through the levels, eventually becoming a Level 10 gymnast and participating in the TOPS program. I had the opportunity to compete at Nationals several times, experiences that helped shape my discipline, determination, and love for the sport.
After graduating high school, I joined the United States Navy, where I gained a lifetime of skills, experiences, and lessons that continue to influence me today. I am a combat veteran and proudly served during the Afghanistan campaign.
After leaving the Navy, I moved to Cody, Wyoming, seeking a different way of life and a new chapter. It wasn't long before gymnastics brought me back to where my passion began. I started coaching with Heart Mountain Gymnastics and eventually became a team coach. During my time there, the program grew quickly, and I found a new passion in developing athletes and helping young gymnasts discover what they were capable of.
I later transitioned to Cody Center for Gymnastics and Acrobatic Arts, where I served as Head Coach. Through that experience, I was given the incredible opportunity to purchase the program and become its owner.
Today, I am one year into ownership, and I couldn't be more proud of how far we've come. Our program is stronger than ever, and we continue to grow both in numbers and in the impact we have on our athletes. My goal is to create an environment where gymnasts can build confidence, develop discipline, work hard, and most importantly, develop a lifelong love for the sport that has given me so much.

Meet Indi, Valor Gymnastics’ Official Gym Dog
Indi may not have a USAG number, but she’s definitely a member of the team.
Her specialties include floor exercise, beam supervision, and advanced-level treat catching. She spends her practice time making sure everyone is staying on task… while simultaneously accepting belly rubs from anyone within reach.
Indi has mastered the sit, stay, and stick-the-landing technique, although her dismounts from the couch could use some work. She’s also undefeated in the event nobody asked her to compete in: getting underfoot during practice.
When she’s not judging routines from the sidelines, Indi can be found making friends with the gymnasts, collecting snacks, and reminding everyone that gymnastics is much more fun when you have a good dog cheering you on.
INDI our gym dog
Born and raised in Cody Wyoming. I was always interested in gymnastics but didnt have many opportunities to participate when I was younger due to lack of facilities with programs. I always had interest in things gymnastics such as one of my favorite movies to watch was Stick It .
I became more involved with gymnastics after my daughter joined a rec class and was invited to come see the team and a spark was ignited. I started out just watching, connecting with the athletes and trying my hand at social media and was soon after asked to begin coaching.
I coach the level 2 girls team but I am all over the gym from coaching to helping in the office. I am very invested in the athletes not just as gymnast but also how they are doing outside of the gym. Getting to see these kids grow into amazing humans and watching them blossom into the people they were meant to be is the best part of the job!
Coach Shawn
I’m a kid at heart, which is one of the reasons I love working with children so much! I originally pursued elememntary education, and I’ve always enjoyed creating a fun, positive, and encouraging environment where kids can learn, grow, and be themselves.
I’ve been coaching gymnastics for about a year and bring experience from my background in All Star Cheerleading. I currently coach children in beginner classes, and I love getting to be part og their first experiences in the gym.
My favorite part of coaching is watching each child’s confidence grow as they learn new skills, overcome challenges, and discover what they’re capable of. I believe gymnastics should be just as much about having fun and making memories as it os about learning skills. You can usuallyfind me being silly right alongside my athletes, cheering them on, and celebrating every accomplishment… big or small!!
